No shade to Gilmore Girls.
In an unique chat with E! Information, Scott Porter clarified what he meant when he mentioned his new Netflix show, Ginny & Georgia, was “so much more” than Gilmore Ladies. For many who do not observe Porter on Twitter and Instagram, on Jan. 25, the 41-year-old actor took to social media to advertise the upcoming dramedy.
Alongside the present’s key artwork, he wrote, “Y’all ain’t prepared for this present or for these two forces of nature @Brianne_Howey and Antonia Gentry). And no, we’re NOT identical to Gilmore Ladies, we’re a lot MORE. #GinnyAndGeorgia drops February twenty fourth on @netlix.”
Based on Porter, who performs Mayor Paul Randolph on Ginny & Georgia, he received himself “in hassle” as Gilmore Ladies followers felt his remark was a dig at the beloved ’00s comedy-drama. “I did not imply it in the way in which that we’re a better a few of its elements than Gilmore Ladies was. What I meant was now we have a variety of completely different storylines that Gilmore Ladies would by no means have stepped into,” Porter solely informed E! Information. “We ship a unique sort of storytelling. And, sure, the mother-daughter comparisons, in fact, are proper there.”
